ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Rich Widdifield is a sought-after speaker, presenter and educator in the areas of financial planning and philanthropy. He presents to entrepreneurs, professionals, professional athletes, philanthropists and charities and works with individuals and families representing all of these groups. Rich is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) with 25 years experience. He specializes in providing Financial Planning advice and strategies to High Net Worth Families, Business Owners, and Professionals. He is also recognized as one of Vancouver’s top advisors for families and individuals making significant gifts to charity.

Rich’s mission is to help clients develop a clear path for them and their loved ones – and where applicable, their business – and enjoy living today while successfully navigating all of life’s major events and turns. Rich works with families with complex situations, that wish to make smart decisions around money, mitigate taxes, plan for their families and heirs, and support organizations in their community that they care about.

Rich and his wife Andrea believe strongly in giving back and have set up their own family charitable foundation. As an active member in his community, Rich volunteers with a number of charities and organizations, including:

• Member of the executive of the Vancouver Chapter of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners and heads the Community Engagement Committee.
• Serves on the Golf Tournament Committee for the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation.

• Member of the House Committee at Beach Grove Golf Club.
• Serves on the Management Board at the Assante West Pender Branch.

Rich and Andrea reside in Tsawwassen, BC with their two rescue dogs, Palmer and Cali. They love to travel, especially to London, England to visit their daughter Kaela and her fiancée Sam. Rich is an avid runner who has run multiple marathons, including Boston, New York and Chicago. He is a member at the Beach Grove Golf Club and Tunnel Town Curling Club in Tsawwassen. Andrea and Rich love to cook and learn about (and taste!!) wine and are Canucks season ticket holders (although Rich cheers for the Oilers when they are in town!!).
