Dear parishioners and friends of St. Francis de Sales, Burnaby,

I am deeply grateful for the generosity of our parish family. In 2025, through our collective commitment, we exceeded expectations by raising over $140,000 through Project Advance. This significant achievement supported our Archbishop’s pastoral priorities across the Archdiocese, and the parish rebate allowed us to invest locally — most notably in securing a new parish tractor (which also serves as a snowplow) and in strengthening our Evangelization and Faith Formation efforts. And, you’ll notice that our newly renovated space in our hall – this would not have been possible without your 2024 Project Advance giving.

Thank you to all who have already made a pledge to Project Advance this year. I invite everyone to prayerfully consider participating once again. When we act together in a spirit of stewardship, we truly make a difference—both in sustaining vital Archdiocesan ministries and in building up our own parish community.

Our parish project this year will focus on two important priorities: the replacement of our church roof, which has faithfully served us for 68 years, and the continued investment in Evangelization, which remains the spearhead of our parish’s growth and renewal. These efforts are not simply about maintenance or programming; they are about creating the conditions for people to encounter Christ and to grow together with Him.
