Christ the Redeemer Parish
This year our parish goal is to raise $184,000. Of this amount, $66,000 is marked for Archdiocesan ministries and for the construction of Catholic Secondary Schools. All additional funds will be used for our Parish Projects:
• World Youth Day subsidy to pilgrims
• Retreat for youth
• New carpet in the church
• Running Alpha at CTR
• Charitable Donations: Talitha Koum, Spectrum Mothers Support Society, Alpha Canada, Catholic Christian Outreach, Divine Renovation
A Message from the Pastor
Dear friends,
Looking back over nearly 16 years as your pastor, I am very proud of what we have accomplished. In the first place, spiritually—we have made great strides in evangelization and faith development. At the same time, the appearance of our parish has seen wonderful improvements both inside the Church and out—all contributing to our goal of becoming an irresistible parish.
I can honestly tell you that very little of this could have happened without Project Advance. Most notably, your contributions over the years made possible the renovation of the sanctuary, the new meeting rooms, and the beautiful front doors; and let’s not forget that Project Advance also funded hiring an Evangelization Coordinator for a year and jump started this lasting initiative.
The new pastor will find the parish in great shape. We will soon have a new sound system—paid for by last year’s campaign. He will send off a large group of young parishioners to World Youth Day, subsidized by this year’s campaign and can look forward to a spruced-up church thanks to the replacement of worn-out carpet, funded by Project Advance.
I am sure that Father Goo will take the same pleasure as I do in the parish’s support for charities and evangelization this year, including grants to women dealing with addictions, the culture of life, evangelization, and parish renewal.
It’s with profound gratitude that I thank you for your support of Project Advance during the years we’ve been together, and with hope for the future that I ask for your contribution this year as well.

A Message from the Pastor
Dear Parishioner,
“You Are the Body of Christ. The body is one, although it has many parts; and all the parts, though many, form one body. So, it is with Christ.”
These words, spoken by St. Paul remind us that we are all part of the body of Christ. It is He who unites us and makes us the living stones of His Church. In our parish community, an extension of the body of Christ, we rejoice that we are able to gather once again. Through Project Advance, we can build spaces and ministries to continue to gather, unite, and further our evangelizing mission.
This year, our Project Advance appeal is focused on rebuilding the damaged rectory as a result of a long standing undetected ingress of water. This was identified as a priority to help to continue to bring our parish community together. Our Archdiocesan goal is $11,400 and any amount raised above this will be directed to our parish project.
Please help our parish gather together again by making a gift to Project Advance today.
