Project Advance 2023: Empowering our Parish Vision

A Message from Archbishop Miller

Dear Friends,

Each year, Project Advance enables us to come together as a community of faith in Jesus to support various ministries and programs of our local Church.

This year’s Appeal focuses on empowering our parishes to be vibrant centres of faith and community. Our hope is that they will be strengthened and equipped with the necessary resources to carry out more effectively their mission of evangelization and service.

Your donation to Project Advance will help to realize this vision. Every gift, regardless of its size, makes a difference. Your support will fund initiatives such as pastoral formation, youth and young adult ministry, and outreach programs for those in need.

Every year in Project Advance, once the goal for your parish is met, all additional funds raised are directed back to the parish to fund its own special projects.

I want to thank you personally for your continued support of your parish and our Archdiocese. Your generosity through the years has allowed us all to do so much good, and I am truly grateful for your commitment to the Church.

Please prayerfully consider making a gift to Project Advance 2023. Help empower your parish to be a beacon of hope, love and service in your community.

With my prayers for you and your family, I remain

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Frequently Asked Questions

Each parish in the Archdiocese is assessed a financial goal for Project Advance. Once that goal has been reached, all additional gifts (less the parish’s share of expenses) is returned to the parish for its own use. For example, parishes have used the rebate to fund upgrades to the parish, expand their buildings, replace equipment, etc. To date, over $100 million dollars has been rebated to our parishes. The Project Advance rebate is not subject to the cathedraticum tax.
